Day 1:

Zanzibar – Arusha – Tarangire National Park

07:00 hours is the reporting time at Zanzibar airport to catch your morning flight to Arusha departing at 08:00 hours arriving at Arusha airport at 09:15. At Arusha airport meet your safari guide & depart for Tarangire National Park, the driving is along the Great Northern Highway & across Masai steppe & many village all the way to Tarangire gate. It will take you less than 10 minutes to finish all park formalities & start the first game drive of your safari.

Tarangire is Tanzania’s fifth largest National Park situated some few kilometers from the Great East African rift Valley. The park runs along lines of Tarangire River which is the main water source of the park. Its vegetation is comprises of acacia woodland, larger grassland with hills & open Savannah. Tarangire River, large elephant population & huge baobab trees are among the highlights of this Park. Apart from elephant population the Park has variety of animal species and some rare breeds like the Fringed Eared Oryx, the Great Kudu & the Ash starling which is the rare species birds. You may also expect to sport herds of buffalo, zebra, giraffe, wildebeest, warthog & many antelopes. Predators are also there which include lion, hyenas, jackals & if lucky the leopard.

Later in the afternoon we drive out of the park and head further north to Karatu town on the way you can stop at Lake Manyara view point for washrooms & some nice picture of Lake Manyara & its forest then drive up & check in at Marera Valley Lodge near Karatu town for dinner and overnight.

Day 2:

Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater

On this day of your 3 Days Tanzania safari from Zanzibar Islands, after an early morning breakfast at you lodge depart for Ngorongoro Crater. The driving is along the high lying farmlands of Karatu & villages all the way to Ngorongoro gate. After check in you will drive up to Ngorongoro crater view point where you can stop for some nice pictures from the rim (if weather permits). After drive around and descend 600 miters high walls into the crater flow for wonderful game viewing. Packed lunch to be served in the crater floor.

Supported by yearly around water supply from the highlands & the rain which guarantee enough fodder, the Crater supports larger number of animals which include herds of buffalo, African elephant, zebra, warthog, many antelopes & the rare black rhino, the crater is among few places in the world where you can see the black rhino in their natural habitats.

Another big surprise in this larger Caldera is the denser population of predators which include lion Jackals, hyenas, cheetahs & the ever-elusive leopard that sometimes need binoculars eye to sport. You will also visit Lake Magadi larger but shallow Soda Lake at the southwest corner of the Crater frequently visited by hippos, flocks of flamingos & other aquatic birds. It is very much possible to spot Tanzania’s big 5 in a course of one day game drive in the Crater. Later afternoon drive out & back to your lodge for dinner & overnight.

Day 3:

Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara – Arusha – Zanzibar Island

After early morning breakfast at the lodge leave for Lake Manyara National Park (or you can carry packed breakfast box & lunch box) and depart as early as 06:30 to maximize time for your game drive.

Manyara park is beautiful & it is at the dramatically location (the base of the Great East African Rift Valley)) Park’s varied habitats attracts a larger number of animals which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, giraffe, warthog, buffalo, many antelopes & African elephant. Apart from the famous Lake Manyara tree climbing lion which is among the highlights of the park other predators like leopard, hyena, cheetahs & Jackals can also be seen.

Lake Manyara is among the feeding site for colorful flamingos which accompanied by other water birds like stocks, Egyptian goose, spoon bills etc.

At mid-day you will start driving towards Arusha airport to catch your flight back to Zanzibar at 16:45 hours arriving at Zanzibar airport at 18:00 hours. If departing home from Kilimanjaro international airport we can also drop you there at a very little fee.
